It was an exceptionally corny night. The fullmoon was bright and glowing, the night scattered with twinkling stars. Gag. Readjusting his plastic fangs, Hotaru neatly dodged the running brats -cough cough- the running children and their swinging bags of candy.
Sighing, and once again readjusting his rather annoying fangs, Hotaru wondered why he had even bothered to go out in costume. Oh yeah.
Because it attracted everyone's attention. Duh. Hotaru's costume? Or, rather, his cosplay?
Zero Kiriyuu, from Vampire Knight. Genma had scoffed at his choice, but Hotaru had held true, bent on being one of his favorite manga characters for Halloween. The only problem now was that his stupid fangs were now irritating the sh-t out of him.
Curse you fangs!
Sighing, and ignoring Genma's very pointed 'I told you so' look, Hotaru strode leisurely along the suburb's sidewalk, earning looks from everyone (mostly adoring glances from females and children). Until he saw a very familiar silhouette up ahead.
"N-No way!" Hotaru exclaimed, and broke into a very fast sprint, Genma clutching onto him for dear life.
"Hey! Stop!" Hotaru called, almost reaching his target.
[OOC: Insert next rper here. And, um, If you don't know who Zero is, google Vampire knight. Oh Zero. I'll let you bite me anyday. <333 -melts into a fangirl puddle-]

The wind blew all around him; enveloping itself around the black hair boy and causing the black cape draped across his broad shoulders to move in such a way that it clearly revealed the black mesh that tightly clung to his lower torso. Good thing tonight was a warm night because if it wasn’t then Minomito Daisuke’s bellybutton would be very cold. Daisuke did not like it when his bellybutton was cold.
Actually, the fact that the pride’s dislike of cold bellybutton was not the only queer thing, but the mere fact that he was dressing up for some childish holiday that were made up by mere candy enterprises for their own selfish needs, now that was actually quite amazing. Of course, Takuya had scoffed at him for doing something so juvenile; jeering and teasing him at any chance the dragon was able to. Despite all the grief the dragon managed to give him, he went on with his plans. Mostly because he still loved Halloween – despite him being seventeen – and also due to him not wanting his pride all bent out of shape if he were to go back on his word.
His choice in costume this year had been an exact cosplay of one of his favorite manga characters; Uchiha Itachi, from Naruto. Not only was he strong, but he had an arrogant air around him that only those who contained enormous strength had. And that is what Daisuke aimed for everyday of his life; that arrogant air that no one could oppose.
He was ready to turn the next corner, in an attempt to find something that could extinguish his boredom, but the voice that called out quite suddenly caused him to stop and exhale a small sigh. There were only two voices that could cause Daisuke act like this. Over annoying girls that desperately clung to him though he would make it very clear that he did not like them; and then there was the voice of Hotaru. Despite being comrades, it was hard to tell where their relationship lie. Though the line of “friendship” had been often crossed, though the one labeled “rival” was not too far off either. Oh and there was the weird attraction between them at times, for they both pulled off the label “bisexual” fairly well.
Oh well, he would definitely have Hotaru over any screaming girl any day.
Red eyes, courtesy of colored contacts, shifted towards the white haired boy, one eyebrow raised in surprise. Who knew that he was not the only one who enjoyed Halloween? ”Have some dignity and try to not look like these brats. I don’t want to associate with people like that.” Daisuke said, waving one arm towards the group of running children that had just passed. Though his greeting had been harsh to most normal humans, such a greeting was actually normal for the black haired boy. For Daisuke was only harsh towards his closest friends and for now on this dark night, Hotaru was over on the “friendship” side.
--- OOC; Kyaa! Zero is so freakin hot. -oogles- >.<'
Hehe if Kiko gets Zero then I get Itachi. -pounces- :3

Even though Japan didn't actually celebrate Halloween it was still a big event for those interested in Western culture. Some parents dressed up little kids and some people took it on themselves to cosplay or to wear costumes to commemorate. Ima had been invited to her friend's Halloween party and had gotten dressed herself: a small, black dress studded with gold and silver rhinestones on the collar and skirt. She was wearing high-heeled ankle-length boots and her hair was pinned up in a bun. A tiara was set in her hair to make her look like a princess. Ima was walking with two of her good friends, secretly tuning them out as they chattered about their plans for the upcoming winter break and the guys they started to hang out with. Before, when Ima was a knight, she craved this normalcy. Now that she was with Easter everything about the outside world had begun to depress her. While they were walking together she heard one of her friends suddenly call out in mid-sentence: "Minomito-kun!" Ima stopped walking, her eyes instantly drawn to the two young men dressed in costume that stood in front of her. Her lips parted slightly as she realized who both were. She felt her heart flutter but not for any pleasant reason: one man she had loved, while the other...the other filled her with a complicated emotion. She suddenly smiled at both reassuringly, but inside she felt a little nauseous. Meanwhile, both of her friends started to swarm around Minomito as well as cast casual glances at Hotaru. Ima just kept her mouth shut and did not look at either boys. Aiko, perched on her shoulder, was watching Daisuke with mild interest. "Minomito-kun, are you and your friend going to Hasagawa-chan's party? You're all dressed up!" [OOC: I am so d**n sorry this sucks ><; But I promise the next will be better!]

"Oh, Daisuke. Your comment hurts me." Hotaru sighed. Taking quick calculations of Daisuke's 'costume' Hotaru tried not to laugh. "Really, now, Dai-kun? Itachi?" Hotaru asked, blinking purple-contact-colored eyes at the slightly shorter boy next to him. A second's pause...
"Eh. You fit the role." Hotaru shrugged, blowing off Daisuke's choice in costumes/cosplays. "Anyways, what do you want to do, Daisuke?" Hotaru asked. Now that Hotaru found a 'friend' around, he really wasn't going to let Daisuke go. But, before Daisuke could respond to his question they were ambushed by a couple of Daisuke's fangirls...
And Ima, of all people. Instantly, his attention was on her, fake purple eyes zooming on her face.
"Yeah, Dai-kun, are we going to Hasagawa-chan's party?" Hotaru asked, momentarily ripping his eyes away from Ima's face to stare down Daisuke.
[OOC: Ugh...worst post ever...EVER. I'm really hoping my next post doesn't come out like this one. >.<]

The current Pride managed to not roll his eyes in an agitated manner as Hotaru critiqued his choice in wardrobe. Really now, it wasn’t like Hotaru was the one he was trying to impress anyways; well at least not at the moment. Right now, the gender, “female”, was his main preference.
Lucky for the Lust though, some girls from his school had interrupted their moment and whatever he had planned to say to Hotaru, would have to wait for another time. That is, if he still bothered to remember by then; but then again, with it being Hotaru it probably would worm its way back to his memory.
For a moment, he had contemplated on rejecting their offer merely because he could, but . . .
"Yeah, Dai-kun, are we going to Hasagawa-chan's party?"
Curious, black eyebrows lifted at this. Why was his blonde companion so intent on attending such a party when there were others with much more excitement and …. sex appeal around? Though he should have questioned it, the raven-haired boy merely replied with a shrug, indicating that he was quite indifferent about the matter. He’d rather not get tangled in the boy’s complicated matters. Not yet at least. ”Hn, I guess so. That is if Hasagawa-chan doesn’t mind.” And by Hasagawa-chan, he had actually meant Ima. For the last time the two had spoken everything had gotten complicated. Tears were shed, secrets were revealed, and the words “MONSTER” and “LIAR” still rang clearly in his ears. A repeat of that scene was definitely not needed, especially in front of practically half the population of his school. It would completely ruin his image he had built over these past four years.

How no one heard her heart beating rampantly in her chest was beyond her. It seemed deafening to Ima as she felt Hotaru's golden eyes caress her face. Don't look at him, she thought. Don't!
But that was impossible, because her body was already drawn to his gravitational pull. Her eyes, made blue by colored contacts, shyly flickered to Hotaru's face. She smiled - a very tiny, fleeting one - before turning her face away. Her cheeks were slightly pink with the memories of a few nights ago in Roppongi.
Then she heard the voice of the one she had almost fallen completely for. Ima's blush faded and she kept looking away, unsure of how to face Daisuke just yet. She was gathering all her courage now so that nothing would seem odd between them. But she couldn't ignore him any longer when she felt another pair of eyes and her and glanced at Daisuke, meeting his gaze. Something in his tone made her feel as if he was asking her to reply.
Why? Ima felt herself tense up as she faced him. She clutched the handle of her purse tightly as she responded to him, trying to act both cordial and ordinary in spite of the chaos in her heart.
"I'm sure she wouldn't mind," she said with an empty smile. There was no invitation in her eyes nor was there anything to dissuade Daisuke. She barely noticed the pain of the wound he caused her months ago. Besides, she knew it was her own stupidity and vulnerability that she had been hurt. What would a guy like Daisuke ever want with someone as commonplace and lackluster as her? He was a sin and she had been a knight; Ima should have guessed she was being used.
But that was in the past now. She didn't have any more feelings for Daisuke. At least, she was pretty sure she didn't. After all, she found herself caring a lot for Hotaru. She believed his feelings of concern and desire for her to be genuine even though there were many ways in which they could not be together. Ima glanced at Hotaru again before starting to walk ahead. "We're already late, though," she murmured softly as she passed. Both her friends were now flocking around Hotaru, asking him things like where he went to school, how old was he, and all sorts of things to get information on him. As they asked him these things Ima realized she didn't know much about Hotaru either and kept listening in while at the same time ignoring him.
Meanwhile, Aiko was yelling at Hotaru and Daisuke from Ima's shoulder. As always, she was being far from polite. "You guys are way too sexy to be otaku! Next time dress up as something COOL!" Then she paused and got a dreamy look on her face as she imagined something dirty.
"You both should dress up as something really good. Like, hosts. Or hot police officers. Or maybe bad boys..."
Ima then flicked Aiko off her shoulder, finding that the little devil was giving her imagery she didn't need at the moment.

He really did try to not grin when he saw Ima's smile; Really, he did try. But Hotaru just couldn't help himself. As his grin revealed a set of perfect white teeth, he had to turn his attention away from Ima unless he wanted the others around him to think any ideas...And, no he really didn't them all to think.
So, Hotaru turned to the girls now fauning over him, and tried to focus his thoughts enough to answer their questions.
"I go to a school farther away from here, but I'm thinking of transferring over here to Seiyo high to finish my last year of highschool. After that, I'll go onto college. I'm eighteen." Hotaru answered, smiling at the two girls, and momentarily dazzling them. As the whole group continued walking, he wondered who exactly 'Hasagawa-chan' was. For a second he had misunderstood and thought they had said 'Hirogawa-chan'. But that was just him, and thankfully, they weren't talking about his little sister.
He would probably freak out if he saw his sister anytime soon.
Aiko was loud, Genma noted, as he tried to free himself from Hotaru's clothes. The wolfy chara had been sleeping, and he had woken up to AIko's loud rantings about Hotaru and Daisuke's costumes. Rubbing the sleep away from his sapphire blue eyes and disentangling himself from Hotaru's 'Zero' costume, Genma glared sleepily at Aiko.
"Could you be any louder?" He asked rather grumpily, messy gold-silver strands of hair flipping into his face.
[OOC: Darn it. DX]
