Hundreds of years have passed...
King Mickey's rule has ended. Sora had his happy ending. It seems everything had come to an end at that, and the worlds could finally live in peace.

Unfortunately, Kingdom Hearts still remains just as the darkness in our heart's does. To the current day, Sora's Legacy is just another legend tossed around like a toy. There's no need to believe things could go wrong again, that the worlds could be tossed into a big mess once more. Though each world knows of each other, there is no way to go or even make contact with another, as decreed by King Mickey. That's about to change though..

Who knew that the Keyblades each had their own, original soul? After years of no use, being locked away to reside in Kingdom Hearts itself, they've been given the chance to be set free. But not just as Keyblades, no. As humans. As somebodies. They would have a soul and a heart.

The first reaction was excitement, most agreed immediately. Some had their doubts but were willing to try it. Thus, it was unanimously decided that they would do it. The only requirement was that they had to protect the worlds secretly. As Keyblades are naturally weapons of justice, agreement was simple.

But the Keyblades would have hearts too, right? So what didn't make them susceptible to darkness? Just like any old human, Keyblades were just as vulnerable. They just didn't think they were.

For years, their work went unnoticed. Some grew resent towards their assigned world, while others were simply sick of being human and dealing with human things. Darkness filled their hearts, but for a Keyblade that would be neigh impossible considering their good natures. Perhaps an external force was at work... Whatever it was tore apart the Keyblades and from it, two factions were born.

The Keyblades of Darkness and Keyblades of Light.

The Dark Keyblades found a way to jumble up the worlds once more, and now all access is slowly becoming available to wherever. They've also gained control of Heartless and Nobodies. The Keyblades of Light have been trying desperately to fix this, but are always stopped by the Dark. Innocent people running into the Heartless and Nobodies have been hurt or killed, and no one knows how or why these monsters have returned besides the Keyblades themselves.

Keyblades who once saw each other as siblings now hate each other, best friends will now kill each other. Try as they might, the Light Keyblades cannot avoid violence now. The Dark are too persistent and ready to kill whoever gets in their way.

The Keyblades of Darkness have one simple goal; to reopen Kingdom Hearts and take their place as a Keyblade once more. The Keyblades of Light don't agree with their goal whatsoever, now attached to their human selves.

In this tale of good and evil, you can be anyone.
Take your place as a Keyblade, warring for what you believe to be right.
Or perhaps you're one of the original characters from Sora's Legacy, somehow managing to survive up until now.
Then again, you could just be another simple being living a normal life. Who knows nothing about the Keyblades yet, but knows the worlds have fallen into darkness once more.

The world's made of light and darkness...
You can't have one without the other.
